Canon 450D
12.2MP DSLR with 3.5 fps shooting.
Pros
- Relatively small and light for an SLR
- With release of the improved Canon 500D now very resonably priced- £518 with kit lens on Amazon
- Cheap memory format - uses SD cards I got 16GB class 6 SDHC for £30 - Amazon
- Seems to be very durable in extreme cold and snow (survived a ski trip!)
Cons
- If the camera is heavy with lens and mounted flash etc the small size is tricky to use with one hand.
